Intro

Mission Africa was founded over 120 years ago and was formerly known as the Qua Iboe Fellowship. Historically most of our work has been in South East Nigeria, but now we are also working in Northern Nigeria, Chad, Kenya and Burkina Faso. Church Planting and Evangelism remain very important areas of focus for the mission, along with Theological Education and Medical work.

Africa has so many needs and we especially want to help those who are oppressed and marginalised. We help people suffering with HIV/AIDS, street kids and women who are exploited. As an interdenominational evangelical mission, we want to share the love of Jesus with the people of Africa; reaching the unreached, loving the unloved and discipling new believers.

Why?

Mission teams     have an enormous impact upon people’s lives. They encourage the church and its ministries in Africa, they boost the work of the projects which the teams help. Often, people experience the love of God, for perhaps the first time, through the work the team does and people become Christians as a result.

Perhaps the biggest impact is upon the lives of those who participate on the teams. Everyone on the teams come home positively affected by what they have seen and done. Most return home having experienced God in a new way, after they witness first hand how He is working in Africa. Many are challenged to consider further involvement in mission work, either short or long term. Everyone who has been to Africa remembers their experience and is able to pray with knowledge about the country they visit.
