1.Read through all the information on the website about the GAP programme. If you have any questions email us [gap@missionafrica.org.uk].

2.Talk to your Pastor, Church leader, Elder, Mission Committee or Youth Worker to discuss and pray with them about this decision. [Also mention it to your family!]

3.Print out the application form fill it in and send it to us. [click here]

4.We will email you confirming that we’ve received the form.

5.We then send off for your references.

6.It usually takes a few weeks to get these back but then we’ll phone or email you to arrange your interview.

7.At interview we ask you lots of questions to work out what abilities and skills you have. We then ask you what type of work you want to serve in, what experience you have and what country you feel called to. When we put all this info about you together, we offer you a list of 2 or 3 opportunities in different ministries that we feel you would be suitable to work with.

8.We then send you a letter of acceptance.

9.You then get all the information ready for your visa application.

10. We organise everything for you; flights, accommodation, visas, transportation, etc.

11. You come to an orientation programme before you go and more orientation when you arrive in Africa.

12.Departure Day - fly to Africa.

13. When in Africa you will meet up with your partner ministry and you will probably spend the first few weeks visiting different aspects of the work and seeing where you can fit in best. Further orientation is provided as required.

14.Then you get stuck in and serve God!
